Numbness

If you’re experiencing numbness you may have a problem with your nerves. A nerve may be damaged or irritated causing interruption to messages between your brain and body. Nerve irritation is frequently caused by misalignments or dysfunction in the spine. Chiropractic care can be effective at correcting the cause of numbness.

If you have numbness you may also be finding that you lose strength, drop things or become clumsy or uncoordinated. Nerve function is vitally important to your body and when your nerves aren’t working normally it can make life harder. Numbness is unlikely to improve on its own, so we recommend you seek help right away.

Not all numbness is caused by spinal dysfunction and so your chiropractor will perform a thorough history and assessment to identify the cause of your numbness. If it is something chiropractic can help with, we will recommend a plan of care. If chiropractic can’t help, we’ll help you find the care you need.
