Another thing we do differently for children is start with a phone consultation. We’ll talk with mum or dad on the phone about their child’s health history, any current concerns and goals for care. Our practice members appreciate doing this in the comfort of their own homes, as it reduces the time their child has to be in the office. We know that little ones have a short period of time before they need to eat or sleep, so taking care of the health history beforehand streamlines your appointment.

Preparing for Your Appointment
For little ones, we suggest scheduling an appointment during a time when they’re normally awake, and try to make sure they’ve eaten within an hour of their visit. Of course, we know it’s always a gamble to predict when kiddos will eat or sleep! These guidelines are simply to help your child be as relaxed as possible for their appointment.
